We would like to welcome you to our Webzine. 'We' refers to a group of writers, and artists from the site: Vampire Rave, part of the Dark Network.  No we are NOT vampires.  Remove your prejudiced views of the words “witch” and “vampire” and consider the myth and lore that the words were introduced in.   These beings stood outside of society as outcasts that were depicted as monsters to most, yet what they consistently represented was change.  We strive here to encourage change directly through our words.

Our primary purpose is most easily described as being a writers group.   We wish to grow artistically and to educate people about alternative life in all its areas. We want to put forth information where the reader may find resources about a topic, or in some of our more detailed pieces, find information that depicts a few different viewpoints.  From there the reader can read more, or continue with assumptions as they choose to.

If we were all the same in our views, there would be no such label as an alternative lifestyle.

The idea of the Hedgewitch has been a long work in development. For years I personally have wanted more from our media; namely to explore both sides of the issue.  I find truth more like a coin, where there are several sides.  What you see, depends on what you are looking at.  To understand we must remove ourselves from our ideals and try to see from the opposite perspective.  This seems like such a simple task that I wonder why it is not popular to do this.

Face it, we are all biased. To believe otherwise is just silly. So why not present news and articles as openly biased? I understand the ideal of impartial news, but my thought is that we have failed. What you will find here is our news, how we, as flawed individuals see the world, what we wish to change and this our meager contribution to influence change.
